tides and trade winds
which
once moved us on
for
other lives evolving away from us?

rear view
mirror
of a shrinking world
skips
through the gravity that masses hurl

Sight

directs the gaze,

attraction to light
as
a moth round a flame

grasping
a reinvented wheel
